The Nobel Griffin
In keeping with my belief, all living creatures are connected, I felt the Griffin was a perfect example of connection—two creatures coming together as one. This is a great example of a Zoomorphic imagery; it’s part eagle and part lion (also illustrated at times as part serpent, horse or dog). The griffin reflects for me a dual physical form that can be seen as a representation of a guardian, a fighter and a protector. The griffin seen as an incredibly strong symbol is a perfect icon during a time where we are facing one of the worst epidemics in modern history. What a great time to look at this noble creature and take from him, his legend of strength and apply it to our daily thoughts. You can view my interpretation of the Griffin as a pendent under the Necklace collection on this site.
